I may be the oldest member of the Shattered team, but I humbly recognize that I have much to learn from the others. While publishing is a new thing for me, writing is not. I have been writing for as long as I can remember and believe I have a great deal yet to say.
Missionary work and volunteerism are important parts of my world. I’ve taught school in the beautiful mountains of Africa and in Haitian slums, have done construction work in Jamaica, and continue to volunteer all throughout my community. I have been married for 35 years to my now retired Army officer husband, and we have three grown children. After so many years spent moving, I was thrilled to finally be able to settle in our new hometown of Huntsville, Alabama after Ralph’s final military assignment at a nearby base.
I am the oldest of nine children, eight girls and one boy, which may explain my penchant for filling empty silences with mindless chatter and my inability to enjoy solitude for more than eleven and a half minutes. I love to read and am always amazed at how far some great books can carry me.
